HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. NASA’s Old Timers’ Day celebration will
be held at the Space
Center on Friday, May 17, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Cypress House
pavilion. Former and current
Stennis employees, regardless of their organizational affiliation or
length of service, are invited to the
celebration.

The annual event commemorates the first tree cutting on May 17, 1963,
that began the
clearing of land for a national rocket test facility in Hancock
County, Mississippi, now Stennis Space
Center.

All retirees and one guest each are free. Anyone else attending is $2
each. The Stennis
Recreational Association sponsors this event.
