What: On July 29, more than 150 high school and university students who are spending the summer tackling hands-on science and engineering projects at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will display the results of their efforts at Marshall’s annual Intern Poster Expo. Members of the media are invited to attend and talk with students about their work.
The Marshall Center will award prizes to students for the best poster presentations. Lockheed Martin of Huntsville, the corporate sponsor for the event, will provide cash prizes. Marshall’s Academic Affairs Office, part of the Office of Human Capital, organizes the event and manages the internships.

When: Thursday, July 29, 1-3 p.m. CDT. (To ensure adequate security processing and badging time, members of the media are encouraged to arrive at Gate 9 at least 45 minutes prior to event start.)

To attend: News media interested in attending the event should contact Angela Storey in the Marshall Center’s Public & Employee Communications Office at 256-544-0034 no later than 4 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, July 28. Media must report to the Redstone Arsenal Joint Visitor Control Center at Gate 9, Interstate 565 interchange at Rideout Road/Research Park Boulevard. Vehicles are subject to a security search at the gate. News media will need two photo identifications and proof of car insurance.
