NASA Deputy Administrator Shana Dale will participate in the first National Summit on the Advancement of Girls in Math and Science. The summit is in Washington on Monday, May 15. It is sponsored by the Department of Education and the National Science Foundation.
Summit participants want to develop a national strategy that will encourage and engage more girls to participate in math and science fields.
There will be a media availability at approximately 1:00 p.m. EDT May 15, at the Library of Congress, James Madison Memorial Building, Montpelier Room, 101 Independence Ave, S.E., Washington. Participants include:
