NASA has selected Integrated Mission Support Services, LLC of Merritt Island, Florida to fulfill the Kennedy Environmental and Medical Contract (KEMCON) at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
KEMCON is a cost plus award fee, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum performance period of five years. This includes a one-month phase-in and 23-month base period, as well as a two-year and a one-year option. If all options are exercised, the contract has a potential maximum value of approximately $102 million.
Integrated Mission Support Services, LLC will provide non-personal technical services to NASA and the United States Air Force at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Patrick Air Force Base, both in Florida. Work to be performed under the contract includes: medical clinic operations; emergency medical services; aerospace medicine support; fitness center operation and musculoskeletal rehabilitation services; clinical laboratory services; biomedical studies support; environmental health services (industrial hygiene and health physics); public health and sanitation services; environmental services; hazardous waste processing; ecological monitoring program services; earth systems modeling and data management operations; and agency support for recycling and sustainable acquisition.
