“Unity in Freedom” is the theme for the Asian Pacific American Heritage
Month Celebration at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville,
Ala. Astronaut Eugene Trinh — who trained at the Marshall Center for his
mission on Spacelab on STS-50 in 1992 — will speak. The celebration will
include cultural dances performed in authentic fashions and traditional
foods from Vietnam, Korea, Thailand and other Asian countries.

Trinh will talk about perspectives of research in space — from a ground
laboratory, in space and behind a desk. He is the director of the Physical
Sciences Division at NASA Headquarters.
