NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) has awarded a new contract to
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic of Houston to conduct the Occupational Medicine
and Occupational Health and Test Support programs at the center, the JSC
operations at nearby Ellington Field and Sonny Carter Training Facility
as well as the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.
This contract is in support of the overall NASA Occupational Health
Program (OHP) which consists of approximately 400 occupational medicine
and environmental health professionals distributed across 10 primary
NASA Centers. That team provides comprehensive medical support to a
diverse, highly technological workforce of over 60,000 civil servant and
contractor employees involved in human exploration and development of
space, aeronautics research and earth and space science activities. All
traditional occupational health program elements are provided including
medical surveillance, industrial hygiene, health physics, emergency
medical response, employee assistance programs, fitness programs and
overall health and wellness programs.
The value of this Cost-Plus-Awards Fee/Incentive contract for the first
year is $8,534,576 with the total contract value including all priced
options being $45,074,359.
An unsuccessful offer was made by Wyle Laboratories, also based in
Houston.
