NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine will make his first official visit to NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, California, on Thursday, Aug. 30, to meet with employees and tour the facility.
Ames will host a media availability with Bridenstine at 1 p.m. PDT at the Arc Jet Complex, where NASA develops innovative, effective thermal protection materials and systems to support the agency’s space exploration missions. After remarks from the administrator, media will have an opportunity to ask questions.

During his visit to Ames, Bridenstine will talk to the center workforce and tour the National Full-Scale Aerodynamics Complex, Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel, NASA Advanced Supercomputing Facility, FutureFlight Central and Airspace Operations Lab, in addition to the Arc Jet Complex.
