NASA and Honeywell are inviting media to the first stop on the 10th anniversary FMA Live! Forces in Motion tour in Houston. Students at Wunderlich Intermediate School will be the first to experience the 2014 version of this high-energy, hip-hop physics show Monday, March 3. The first show begins at 9:30 a.m. CST, and two additional shows follow in the afternoon.

Using live actors, hip-hop dance, music videos, interactive scientific demonstrations and video interviews with scientists and engineers from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the FMA Live! show teaches Isaac Newton’s Three Laws of Motion and Universal Laws of Gravity. The name of the show comes from Newton‚s Second Law of Motion: Force = Mass x Acceleration.

Media interested in attending the event should contact Ann Marie Trotta at ann.marie.trotta@nasa.gov or 202-358-1601 by 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28. Wunderlich Intermediate School is located at 11800 Misty Valley Drive in Houston.

NASA and Honeywell Hometown Solutions have collaborated on FMA Live! since 2004 as a way to engage middle school students in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts in a fun, engaging way.

NASA’s Office of Education is committed to using the agency’s unique assets, programs and facilities to inspire students to pursue STEM studies and careers. It collaborates with a
wide variety of organizations from academia, industry and government to reach learners and educators across the U.S.
