NASA Glenn Research Center Curtails General Public Access to Visitor Center
In keeping with the heightened security status at federal facilities around
the country, access is suspended to the general public visiting NASA Glenn
Research Center’s Visitor Center until further notice.
During this time, prearranged groups including school bus field trips for
grades K – 12 will continue to be offered to groups of 20 or more. A variety
of programs are available Monday through Friday at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.
Reservations are required 6-8 weeks in advance and can be made by calling
216-433-3156. Groups that had previously arranged weekend programs should
call to reconfirm their reservation.
In addition, the Educator Resource Center, located within Glenn’s Visitor
Center will continue to support Graded School Programs with NASA-produced
educational materials. Educators must schedule an appointment, made at least
one week in advance, by calling 216-433-2017.
Even though the general public may not be able to come tour the Visitor
Center, there are opportunities available for NASA to provide educational
and informational programs to schools, professional, technical, civic and
social organizations, libraries and museums. Glenn’s Visitor Center manages
an active Speakers Bureau and a Traveling Exhibits program designed to take
the excitement of air and space programs beyond its gates. The Speakers
Bureau and Traveling Exhibits program are free services of Glenn’s Community
and Media Relations Office. For more information or to schedule a speaker
call 216-433-2003, or to schedule a traveling exhibit call 216-433-6291.
More information on Glenn’s Visitor Center, including all of the programs

All scheduled visitors must be U.S. citizens and are required to present a
valid, government-issued photo identification upon arrival. Vehicles are
subject to security search at the gate.
