Industry and business professionals throughout Ohio are invited to NASA’s Glenn Research Center’s Technology Showcase on Dec. 2 for a unique opportunity to learn about and tap into cutting edge NASA technologies with commercial potential.
The showcase will take place at the Cleveland Airport Marriott from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A keynote address on the state’s view of Glenn’s role in Ohio economic development will be given at 9:30 a.m. by Mark Kvamme, president of JobsOhio. Kvamme will be available for media interviews between 10 and 10:15 a.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions describing more than 36 different technologies that were developed at Glenn. Session categories include: materials and structures, biomedical, sensors and electronics, advanced alternative energy and advanced propulsion.
The goal of the workshop is two-fold: to display a selected portfolio of NASA-developed technologies that align with the state of Ohio’s targeted areas for economic development and identify opportunities for collaboration between Glenn and Ohio-based companies.
Attendees will have the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with NASA innovators to discuss their technology needs and how NASA’s research and development could help address their future technology requirements.
Specialists also will be on hand to discuss the process of working with NASA, including building win-win partnerships and address attendees’ business related questions.
