Science Applications International Corp. of Houston has been awarded a $54 million, one-year extension of its NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Safety, Reliability and Quality Assurance Service Contract.
The contract provides support of JSC’s Safety and Mission Assurance Office in safety, reliability, maintainability, quality engineering and quality assurance matters. Its focus is both within the center and on outside contractors. The contract supports various programs, including the Shuttle and the International Space Station, and provides institutional support.
The one-year extension, beginning April 1, brings the duration of the level-of-effort, cost-plus-award-fee contract to 11 years and its total amount to about $437 million.
Work under the contract will be performed in Houston; at JSC’s White Sands Test Facility near Las Cruces, N.M.; and at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Fla.
