NASA has exercised the first option under its contract with Vantage Partners LLC of Lanham, Md., to continue providing engineering and scientific support services to the agency’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

The one-year option begins Oct.1 and is valued at about $46 million. The contract has three more options available: two at one year each and one at eight months.

This is a cost-plus-fixed-fee base effort and a cost-plus-award-fee indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. The initial contract was awarded Feb. 29, 2012 and has a potential maximum value of $231 million.

Vantage Partners LLC performs a wide range of engineering, research and technology development, operations and project management services at Glenn. These services support the aeronautics and space exploration work assigned to the center by the agency, and includes delivering engineering products ranging from initial concepts through complete flight systems.
