NASA will join Career Opportunities for Students with
Disabilities (COSD) at their annual meeting in Redmond,
Wash., May 13-15. COSD is actively helping NASA find
qualified students with disabilities who are pursuing
mathematics, science, engineering, and technical degrees for
employment with the agency.

“We applaud COSD for bringing together Disabled Student
Services and Career Placement Services to provide employers
with ease in finding qualified students with disabilities,”
said NASA’s Dr. Dorothy Hayden-Watkins, assistant
administrator for equal opportunity programs. “This work is
essential to recruitment efforts to achieve NASA’s diversity
strategic goals.”

NASA also supports COSD as it provides outreach and
assistance to Historically Black Colleges and Universities
and Other Minority Universities to encourage the
recruitment, development, and academic growth opportunities
of, and in providing reasonable accommodations to, minority
students with disabilities.
