Add to NASA Daily News Summary For Release: April 4, 2000 Media Advisory m00-066a ALL TIMES EASTERN NASA, U.S. POSTAL SERVICE CELEBRATE HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE 10TH ANNIVERSARY WITH STAMP UNVEILING AND OTHER EVENTS On Monday, April 10, 2000, five new commemorative postage stamps issued by the U.S. Postal Service will be unveiled in a ceremony at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD, to celebrate the Hubble Space Telescope's 10th anniversary. The day- long celebration begins at 9 a.m. EDT with remarks from members from the Maryland Congressional delegation, NASA Administrator Daniel Goldin, Goddard Center Director Al Diaz and others. The stamp unveiling will begin at approximately 11 a.m., EDT. Postmaster General William J. Henderson will unveil the new stamps. The five stamps feature images of the Eagle Nebula, the Ring Nebula, the Lagoon Nebula, the Egg Nebula and Galaxy NGC 1316, all taken by Hubble over the past 10 years. There will also be two afternoon programs, "Hubble Space Telescope and Beyond," and "Servicing Hubble Space Telescope."
