On August 14, 2001, Dubois Ladner of Poplarville, Mississippi, an
employee of Mississippi Space Services, a NASA prime contractor at
Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, was arrested pursuant to a federal
arrest warrant charging him with Possession of a Firearm on a Federal
Facility. Title 18, United States Code, Section 930 (a), prohibits the
possession of a firearm or a dangerous weapon inside Federal
Facilities.

On July 12, 2001, Agents from the NASA Inspector General’s Office of
Criminal Investigations executed a federal search warrant on Ladner’s
truck, which was parked at the Stennis Space Center, and discovered a
loaded pistol inside the vehicle.

Special Agents from the NASA Inspector General’s Office of Criminal
Investigations and the FBI conducted the investigation. The
prosecution is being handled by the United States Attorney’s Office,
Southern District of Mississippi, Biloxi.
