NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley invites media to the ribbon-cutting ceremony of a new visitor center called The NASA Experience at the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, California on November 12.

This new visitor center deepens the center’s roots in the Bay Area community and offers an immersive STEAM environment to showcase the stories from the Ames community over its 81-year history. The exhibit will share the breadth of work across various areas of research including entry systems, computing, aeronautics, astrobiology, life sciences, robotics, as well as space and Earth science.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. PST, and will include remarks from NASA Associate Administrator of STEM Engagement Mike Kincaid, and NASA Ames Center Director Eugene Tu. Media will have an opportunity for interviews following remarks.

Media interested in participating must RSVP by 5 p.m. PST Thursday, Nov. 11 to corinne.m.edmiston@nasa.gov.
