NASA’s Glenn Research Center (GRC), Cleveland, has awarded a
new 8(a) contract to Sierra Lobo, Inc., Fremont, Ohio, to
provide operations, engineering and maintenance support
services for the center’s research facilities and
laboratories.

The contract consolidates portions of four existing contracts
into an integrated contract to provided core support to
Glenn’s projects and programs. Under the terms of the
contract, Sierra Lobo will provide services such as planning,
preparing and conducting tests; operating, maintaining and
repairing research facilities; and other administrative
support services.

Facilities covered in this contract include: wind tunnels,
engine altitude chambers, engine component facilities, space
simulation chambers, zero gravity facilities, instrumentation
R&D laboratories, materials and structures R&D laboratories,
clean rooms and rocket test facilities located at GRC and its
Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio.

The cost-plus-award-fee/award-term contract has a potential
value of $313 million over a possible 10-year period,
consisting of a three-year base period, followed by one two-
year option and five one-year award term periods.
