NASA has selected Frequentis USA Inc., of Rockville, Md., for the agency’s Mission Operations Voice Enhancement award.
The firm-fixed price contract portion has a maximum value of approximately $47 million to install systems at various NASA centers. The contract also includes an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity portion with a maximum value of $66 million. The maximum period of performance for the work is 15 years.
The principal purpose of this contract is to provide for the design, acquisition, development, integration, test, delivery and maintenance of all hardware, firmware and software components for mission operations’ voice systems. These systems will be used for real time switching, conferencing and monitoring of dedicated critical voice circuits mandatory for NASA manned and unmanned spacecraft missions.
The principal work will be performed at the contractor’s facility in Rockville, Md., and at Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc., Columbia, Md. Equipment will be installed at several NASA field centers and affiliated locations.
