NASA selected Intuitive Machines to develop a spacecraft vision processing computer and software to reduce the cost and schedule required for deploying optical, or laser navigation capabilities on government and commercial missions. The contract is part of the space agency’s fourth competitive Tipping Point solicitation.
“The Tipping Point contract enables Intuitive Machines’ highly capable staff to develop an open source industry standard vision processing unit,” said Trent Martin, vice president of aerospace systems. “We are eager to develop and share our invention for the benefit to the space exploration community.”
