HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — NASA has signed a contract modification extending the contract for Marshall Space Flight Center’s engineering, science and technical services contract with Jacobs Technology Inc. by one year.

The contract will conclude on Sept. 30, 2011. This contract extension has a maximum potential value of $170 million, bringing the total potential value of the contract, which was awarded in October 2005, to $962.5 million.

Under the contract, Jacobs Technology Inc. currently performs a wide range of engineering, technical, science, propulsion, program management and business services in support of the agency’s Marshall Space Flight Center. The company will furnish all resources, including management, personnel, equipment and supplies, unless specific exceptions are made by the government.
