NASA has awarded Oak Ridge Associated Universities, Oak Ridge, Tenn., a contract to support the agency’s program for competitive postdoctoral opportunities.
This award is the result of a competitive follow-on to NASA’s Resident Research Associateship Program. The program, renamed the NASA Postdoctoral Program, offers unique research opportunities to highly talented national and international individuals who serve at NASA headquarters or other agency facilities. These one to three year appointments are competitive and designed to advance NASA’s mission and the Vision for Space Exploration.
Oak Ridge Associated Universities will be responsible for providing the infrastructure to provide meaningful professional experiences for program participants. The contractor will recruit, screen, evaluate, recommend and place (including processing visas for international students, payment of stipends and associated costs), postdoctoral associates at NASA.
The total estimated cost-plus-fixed fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity for the base period is $100 million. The base period is five years, and there are award terms up to an additional five year period. The maximum value including all award terms is $200 million.
