NASA has awarded a contract to Chenega Global Protection LLC of Chantilly, Virginia, an 8(a) small business, to perform fire services at the agency’s Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley, Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia, and White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity NASA Fire Services Contract (NFSC) will begin Dec. 1 and includes a 22-month base period, followed by six one-year options. The total potential value of the contract, including all options, is approximately $328,275,007.
Services under the NFSC include fire operations and firefighting; emergency medical services, including paramedic and advanced life support services; fire protection; fire prevention inspection program; fire services training; and fire investigations.
