NASA has awarded additional work, valued at $39.9 million, for the Consolidated Space Operations Contract (CSOC) currently held by Lockheed Martin Space Operations Company in Houston.

The contract addition will fund the maintenance and operation by NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif., of the Deep Space Network in the United States as well as JPL’s technical support of the international complexes in Spain and Australia.

This Cost Plus Award Fee contract will expire on December 31, 2003, and will be performed primarily at the Deep Space Communication Complex, Goldstone, Calif. and at facilities in Pasadena. The additional work brings the total value of the CSOC to $2.1 billion.
