Two NASA astronauts in Washington — and a third in the International Space Station joining by videolink — will speak at a National Press Club newsmaker breakfast on Monday, Sept. 14.
Astronauts Mark Kelly and Terry Virts will appear in person to discuss their mission work aboard the International Space Station, including a nearly year-long twins study with astronauts Mark and Scott Kelly, ongoing cooperation with other countries and the road to a possible 2030 mission to Mars.
The event will be, in part, a “breakfast from outer space,” as the Club has also arranged as part of the breakfast, for a live videolink with astronaut Scott Kelly –- Mark’s twin brother -– from the International Space Station.
Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. with remarks followed by a question-and-answer session at 9 a.m. The event ends at 10:00 a.m. Tickets cost $23 for Press Club members (NPC Members may purchase 2 tickets at this rate) and $37 for all other non-member tickets. Tickets are available here: http://www.press.org/events/npc-breakfast-nasa-astronauts-mark-kelly-and-terry-virts. For questions, please email reservations@press.org or call (202) 662–7501.
