CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – News conferences, events and operating hours for the press center at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida are set for the upcoming launch of space shuttle Endeavour. Endeavour’s STS-126 mission to the International Space Station is scheduled to lift off at 7:55 p.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 14.

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Endeavour’s seven astronauts are expected to arrive at Kennedy at 4 p.m. NASA Television will provide live coverage as mission Commander Chris Ferguson makes a brief statement to news media. Credentialed journalists planning to cover the event must be at Kennedy’s news center by 3:30 p.m. for transportation to the Shuttle Landing Facility.

On launch day, a blog originating at Kennedy will update the countdown beginning at 2:30 p.m. The blog is the definitive Internet source for information leading up to launch.
