NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate has awarded $1.5 million to Ohio University of Athens for work described in its NASA research announcement proposal “Design, Development, Verification and Validation of an Integrated Alerting and Notification Function for an Intelligent Integrated Flight Deck.”
Maarten Uijt de Haag is the principal investigator.
The three-year award from the directorate’s Aviation Safety Program will foster close collaboration with and facilitate the exchange of ideas and information among researchers at NASA, industry, academia and other government agencies to benefit the nation’s aeronautics community.
NASA’s Aviation Safety Program is dedicated to improving the safety of current and future aircraft and their operations in the national airspace system. The research focuses on the way vehicles are designed, built, operated and maintained.
