NASA Ames distributes releases in Spanish with email service

The NASA Ames Research Center newsroom today began a service to distribut

Spanish translations of selected Ames news releases via e-mail to the new
s
media and the public beginning with this note to editors.

Members of the Spanish language media, the public and educators are
encouraged to subscribe to the Ames automated e-mail system, Ames-noticia
s,
to get information more quickly and in a more useful format. This is part
of a broader Ames effort to reach out to the Bay Area’s Spanish-speaking
community.

People may subscribe or remove their e-mail addresses from the system by
e-mailing a request. To receive Ames news releases in Spanish via e-mail,
send an e-mail with the word ‘subscribe’ in the subject line to:
ames-noticias-request@lists.arc.nasa.gov. To unsubscribe, send an email
to
the same address with ‘unsubscribe’ in the subject line. Also, the NASA
Ames News Home Page at URL, http://amesnews.arc.nasa.gov includes some ne
ws
releases in Spanish and JPEG images in AP Leaf Desk format minus embedded
captions.
