WALLOPS ISLAND, VA – NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia has rescheduled the launch of an United States Air Force Minotaur 1 rocket carrying the ORS-1 satellite for the Department of Defense’s Operationally Responsive Space Office. Originally set for June 28, the new launch date is June 29.
The launch on June 28 was postponed due to thunderstorms in the area.
The Minotaur 1 will be launched between 8:28 and 11:28 p.m. The backup launch days are June 30 through July 10.
The rocket may be visible to residents Eastern United States from North Carolina to New York.
