More than 3,000 students from all over the Bay Area will convene at Education Day on Friday, April 9, 2010 at NASA’s Ames Research Center. This free event is in conjunction with Yuri’s Night on April 10, 2010.
During Education Day, students between grades 4-12 will engage in hands-on learning activities including interactive exhibits, workshops and presentations by leading scientists, engineers and technology experts.
Students will be able to make and launch rockets, control a Mars Rover replica, learn how an infrared camera works and make music in an immersive environment.
Guest speakers include musician DJ Qbert leading a workshop on vinyl record scratches and science, video game artist Android Jones giving a digital painting demonstration and Apple founder Steve Wozniak talking about the secrets to his success.
