The U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) awarded contracts worth up to $209.6 million apiece to three small businesses to provide engineering advisory services for various ballistic missile defense systems, according to a Jan. 21 announcement by the Defense Department.
APT Research Inc. of Huntsville, Ala., Bastion Technologies of Houston, and a.i. solutions Inc. of Lanham, Md., were each awarded five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts from the MDA.
The companies will compete for task orders to assess engineering, technology, production and programmatic practices for the agency’s Quality, Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate, the release said.
The contracts were awarded under a set-aside for small businesses, the release said.
