MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA – News), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has signed two new subscription agreements with RADARSAT network stations, one with a NATO station in Italy and another with a customer in Kazakhstan.

The addition of the new subscriptions increases the number of worldwide RADARSAT network stations to twenty-six. One of the hallmarks of the RADARSAT program is the rapid delivery of time-sensitive essential information to operational users within one to four hours after the data is received by the nearest network station.

RADARSAT information is used internationally by surveillance and monitoring programs that involve activities such as illegal ship detection, disaster assessment and management, and arctic navigation.
