What: Robert Lightfoot, director of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will discuss the Marshall Center’s accomplishments with some 300 community leaders, elected officials and industry partners at the annual Marshall Center Director’s Breakfast on Tuesday, May 11, at the Westin Hotel in Huntsville.

Lightfoot also will present the 2009 Marshall Center Contractor Excellence Awards, offered annually to current prime contractors, subcontractors and suppliers who have made significant contributions to NASA’s and Marshall’s mission. He also will recognize a local school for its accomplishments in regard to the NASA Great Moonbuggy Race — one of many educational projects and initiatives the agency conducts each year to attract and engage America’s next generation of scientists, engineers and explorers.
