Washington, D.C. November 5, 2012 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) is pleased to announce that Lieutenant General Mark Bowman, Director Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4) / Cyber, Chief Information Officer, Joint Staff, J6/CIO, will deliver keynote remarks at SIA’s 2012 DoD Commercial SATCOM User’s Workshop.

This is the eighth annual SIA Commercial SATCOM Users’ Workshop, co-sponsored by SIA and the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). The workshop will be held from December 12-14, 2012 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. The workshop provides a dynamic forum to discuss the Department of Defense’s requirements for satellite connectivity and the latest industry technology and trends to ensure effective communications for present and future military missions. This event is attended by over 400 government officials from the defense, government agencies and intelligence communities, and satellite industry executives including spacecraft builders, launch providers, SATCOM operators, end-to-end service providers, integrators, and ground equipment manufacturers.
