CLEVELAND — Astronaut Mike Good, a graduate of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School and a veteran of four spacewalks, will visit Cleveland on Nov. 13 and 14 making appearances at the Great Lakes Science Center, the Cleveland Cavaliers/Indiana Pacers basketball game and the Cleveland Browns/New York Jets football game.

Good will give a talk at 1 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Great Lakes Science Center with an autograph signing session following at 2 p.m. in the NASA Glenn Visitor Center. At 3 p.m., immediately following the autograph signing session, Good will give a brief introduction to the OMNIMAX movie Hubble (separate admission required). Good will speak about his experiences aboard space shuttle Atlantis in May 2009 (STS-125) during the final mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope. While the 19-year-old telescope spent six days in the shuttle’s cargo bay, Good and three other astronauts, with the assistance of crewmates inside Atlantis, conducted daily spacewalks to the refurbished Hubble Space Telescope. Good’s presentation will also feature highlights of his May 2010 mission (STS-132) to the International Space Station.

On the evening of Nov. 13, Good will attend the Cavaliers’ game at Quicken Loans Arena and present the Cleveland Cavaliers jersey that flew with him during the 2010 mission.

On Nov. 14, Good will attend the Cleveland Browns’ football game and present the Browns jersey that also flew aboard Atlantis with him in 2010.

NASA exhibits and activities will be featured during pregame activities on both days. Good will appear at the exhibits and interact with attendees at all the events.
