Jacobs
Engineering Group Inc. announced today that a subsidiary
company received a contract to support payload processing for the
space shuttle, the International Space Station, expendable launch
vehicles, and other programs for NASA/Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Fla.

Officials said the contract has a potential value of $120 million.

The Checkout, Assembly, and Payload Processing Services (CAPPS)
contract has a four-year basic period of performance with two
three-year priced options for a potential total contract period of 10
years. The contract has an effective date of October 1, 2002.

With a workforce of approximately 120, Jacobs will serve as a
major subcontractor to Boeing Space Operations Company for this
effort. Areas of support will include facility operations readiness,
electromagnetic measurement, and analysis services.
