Iridium Communications signed agreements with five companies to market Iridium-based data solutions for the mobile machine-to-machine sector, the McLean, Va.-based mobile satellite services provider said Jan. 25.
Greg Ewert, Iridium executive vice president for global distribution channels, said the new partnership agreements will leverage Iridium’s low-latency, two-way satellite data links and next-generation Iridium 9602 SBD transceiver to provide low-cost machine-to-machine services for government, commercial and consumer markets.
The new partners are: ACR Electronics, DeLorme, Digi International, KORE Telematics and Xact Technology LLC.
