International Space Station Traveling Exhibit to visit I-10 Launch Pad Jan. 30-Feb. 7

HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. – Beginning Jan. 30, visitors can experience life
aboard the
International Space Station (ISS) without leaving Earth’s atmosphere. NASA’s
"Space Station
Imagination" traveling exhibit will be on display at the Launch Pad at the
I-10 Hancock County
Welcome Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 30 – Feb. 7. The stop is the
first of a national tour.

The exhibit, sponsored by Johnson Space Center in Houston and hosted by
Stennis Space
Center, is comprised of two 48-foot trailers that form two modules of the
ISS – the habitation
module or "living quarters" and the laboratory module. Guests can board the
interactive exhibit, see a
life-sized robotic animatron, "Astronaut Emily," and catch a glimpse of how
astronauts work, eat and
sleep onboard the ISS.
