CCS-C Enhanced to Support the Wideband Global SATCOM and Advanced Extremely High Frequency On-Orbit Operations
Integral Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq: ISYS) today announced the award by the U.S. Air Force of a cost plus award fee modification totaling $5.8 million to modify the Command and Control System-Consolidated (CCS-C) effort to support the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) and Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) programs.
This change provides for operations readiness and additional training to support the first WGS launch in fiscal year 2007. It also updates the system specification for the AEHF program. “This modification provides both hardware and software upgrades to the WGS test environment in support of Air Force operations of the first WGS vehicle to CCS-C in fiscal year 2007. These upgrades and additional training will ensure CCS-C’s operational readiness in support of the WGS program,” stated Steve Roth, Integral’s Director of MILSATCOM Programs.
The CCS-C program provides an upgraded capability to command and control the Air Force’s communication satellites, including the Defense Satellite Communication System (DSCS), Milstar, Advanced EHF (AEHF), and WGS.
The results contained in this submission were generated in whole, or in part, through work supporting the MILSATCOM Systems Wing (MCSW).
