Integral Systems of Columbia, Md., said June 21 that its European subsidiary has received a contract from Hong Kong-based satellite fleet operator AsiaSat to upgrade two satellite terminals at its Tai Po Earth Station.

Financial terms were not disclosed; Integral said in a press release that Integral Systems Europe Ltd. will upgrade radio frequency uplink systems for two antennas at Tai Po. The new system is meant to expand AsiaSat’s transmission capacity.

In a separate press release, Integral announced that its Newpoint Technologies subsidiary has introduced its next-generation remote site manager system, the Mercury G3. The Mercury G3 is equipped with solid-state hard drives, redundant power supplies and can be equipped with its own uninterruptible power supply to shut down the unit and facility in an orderly manner during a power failure.
