Integral Systems of Columbia, Md., is now selling new 200-watt solid-state power amplifiers for satellite communications that it says are the most compact and efficient on the market, according to a May 18 Integral press release.
Integral Systems provides satellite components and ground control software to government and commercial operators. The firm earlier this year began offering 100-watt solid-state power amplifiers. The new 10.1-kilogram, 200-watt amplifier features up to 30 percent efficiency, making it the smallest, lightest and most efficient amplifier on the market at this power level, the company said.
