The International Astronautical Congress (IAC2017), held in Adelaide, Australia from the 25 – 29 September 2017, includes an exciting and rich Global Networking Forum (GNF) Programme, touching upon the most recent and hot topics in the space sector. With more than 50 sessions, the GNF at the IAC2017 will give participants the opportunity to be updated on recent developments and future endeavors of the space sector. This year’s GNF at the IAC will cover a number of interesting subjects and will give the floor to small & medium-sized enterprises, R&D institutions, Agencies and larger organizations.

During an exciting Industry Day, leading companies will come together to discuss important subjects such as the Space Situational Awareness, Clean Space, the Impact of Constellations and the Reusability of Launch Vehicles. In addition, key players such as Boeing, Blue Origin, Planet, Airbus and many more will gather, together with startups and upcoming companies, to discuss the challenges of a new space ecosystem.

Following the IAF’s 3G Principles – generation, gender and geography – the GNF will also host important discussions throughout the week, on major themes such as disruption, innovation and global partnerships. Not only through the Industry perspective, but also through the involvement of Agencies and Non-Governmental Bodies, “Space 4.0” as well as Technology Transfer and Earth Observation will be discussed by newcomers and recognized experts. Diversity and inclusion of Emerging Countries will also be part of this year’s GNF, together with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific Region, with exciting panels on the Australian Astronomy, Australia’s Space and Spatial Capability as well as a Chinese overview of the New Generation of Recoverable Satellites.
