Prof. Johann-Dietrich Woerner, Chairman of the Executive Board of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), will take part in the 2011 Space Generation Congress (SGC) in Cape Town, South Africa as a featured speaker. SGC 2011, to be held September 29 to October 1, will be both the tenth anniversary of the Space Generation Advisory Council’s (SGAC’s) annual event as well as the first ever SGC in Africa.
In his speech to the university student and young professional delegates of SGC, Prof. Woerner will address the topic space development in Europe and Germany. Among other things, he will discuss the current state, as well as Germany’s perspectives on why to it engages in space activities and Germany’s goals for the next decade.
