GMV Space Systems, a U.S. subsidiary of Madrid, Spain-based GMV, said Jan. 13 it has been selected to join a team led by General Dynamics C4 Systems  to modernize the ground system segment for NASA’s Tracking and Data and Relay Satellite System (TDRSS), according to a Jan. 13 company news release.

NASA awarded Scottsdale, Ariz.-based General Dynamics C4 Systems the $642.2 million Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment contract last June.

GMV did not disclose the financial terms of its four-year subcontract, but the Rockville, Md.-based satellite ground system supplier said it would be helping General Dynamics with several aspects of the modernization effort, including satellite telemetry and command, data archiving, trend analysis, service management planning and scheduling.
