NORTH LOGAN, UTAH, January 30, 2014 – GeoMetWatch (GMW) announced today that it has realigned its executive ranks to assist its customers and the international meteorological data community in more effectively applying its advanced forecasting technologies.
GeoMetWatch co-founder, David J. Crain, Ph.D. will become the company’s Chief Technology Officer – the position which will enable him to focus on assisting both commercial clients and sovereign nations achieve the full potential of the company’s next generation, hyperspectral forecasting data products.
At the same time, in response to increasing investor interest in the company’s growth potential, the Board has named Director Edward A. Keible to succeed Dr. Crain as Chief Executive Officer. No other management changes are planned at this time. In making the announcements, Board Chair William F. Readdy emphasized the company’s commitment to providing prospective clients with dedicated technical support for its advanced hyperspectral sensor and data services.
“David is widely recognized as an innovator and technology leader in the forecasting sector. The move to CTO will allow him to focus on hyperspectral weather data implementation, as well as interpretation solutions that are precisely tailored to our customers’ critical safety and economic development concerns,” Mr. Readdy said. “Similarly, Ed’s move to the CEO position takes best advantage of his considerable management, business and communications skills. Those skills, combined with his firsthand knowledge of the investor landscape, will be key as we continue to grow GeoMetWatch and realize its full potential for both customers and investors,” Mr. Readdy added.
Mr. Keible is currently Managing Partner of Capstan Advisors and previously has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Endwave Corporation. Mr. Keible founded and led Endwave through a successful NASDAQ IPO (ENWV). Previously, Mr. Keible held various positions at Raychem Corporation, most recently as the Senior Vice President with P&L responsibility of Raychem’s Electronic Product Divisions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Bachelor of Engineering degree and Masters of Engineering degree in materials science, each from Dartmouth College, and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Harvard University.
