Bethesda, MD, November 30, 2006 — On November 28, 2006, the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) held its inaugural Future Leaders Dinner at the Princeton Club in New York City to honor young satellite professionals and the executives who contribute time to their career development.

Futron Corporation’s Eileen McGowan received one of three SSPI Promise Awards presented at the dinner. She was honored along with two other young satellite professionals identified by their employers as having the potential to play a leadership role in the industry. Promise Award recipients have demonstrated initiative, innovation, creativity, and/or a specific problem-solving skill that has positively impacted their company’s financial performance, marketing effectiveness, or technical capabilities.

Eileen is a Program Manager at Futron’s headquarters in Bethesda, MD, where she manages the FCCFilings.com service as well as a variety of satellite market research, forecasting, and asset valuation projects. Eileen is President of Women in Aerospace, Treasurer of SSPI’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter, and a member of AIAA’s (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) Technical Committee on Communications Systems.
