Emergent
Information Technologies Inc. has been selected for a
subcontract currently valued at approximately $40 million to provide
engineering, science and technology services to NASA’s Goddard Space
Flight Center as a member of the Science Systems and Applications
Inc. (SSAI) team for the Space and Earth Sciences Data Analysis
(SESDA) contract.
The total value of the five-year prime contract is $204.5 million.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the news,” said Ron Oxley, group

“This contract will allow us to double our space sciences team of
scientists, researchers and engineers. This is one of Emergent’s
largest awards ever. It provides a solid base upon which we can bid
for even larger contracts in the future.”
The contractor team will provide NASA with: computer system
management, including operating system and application software;
development and use of scientific and engineering data analysis
systems; and development of new technology for scientific
instrumentation for Space and Earth Sciences research at Goddard.
Dr. Andrew Endal, vice president and division manager of the Space
Sciences Division said: “We provide the SSAI team with exceptional
capabilities in the areas of data systems design, software
development, solar physics and astronomy. I really look forward to
working with SSAI and NASA in the years ahead.”
