Explore Mars, Inc. is pleased to announce that Doug McCuistion has joined its Board of Advisors. McCuistion recently retired from NASA after 20 years of service. He most recently served as Director of the Mars Exploration Program during one of the most exciting periods of that program’s history (see McCuistion’s biography on the Board of Advisers page – ExploreMars.org/about/advisors).
According to McCuistion, “I’m pleased to have been invited to assist the Explore Mars team in fostering the excitement of Mars exploration, motivating and educating our future explorers, and advancing the implementation of missions to return samples from Mars and put the first human boot-prints on the Martian surface!”
Doug McCuistion joins fellow Explore Mars’ advisors Buzz Aldrin, Miles O’Brien, Andrew Chaikin, Penelope Boston, Chris McKay, Sam Burbank, and Tiffany Montague.
“Doug is a spectacular addition to our team,” commented Explore Mars Executive Director, Chris Carberry. “His experience and passion will undoubtedly help Explore Mars grow and be more effective over the upcoming years.”
Doug McCuistion will also be joining a spectacular speaker lineup at the Humans to Mars Summit on May 6-8, 2013 in Washington, DC (h2m.exploremars.org).
