The Commercial Spaceflight Federation (CSF) applauds the Senate for passing the NASA Authorization Act of 2020 (S. 2800). This bipartisan bill recognizes that NASA’s world-leading capabilities are greatly advanced through true public-private partnerships between America’s domestic commercial space industry and the Government. Public-private partnerships represent the most effective path to rapidly, safely, and cost-effectively study and explore our Earth, Moon, Mars, and the solar system.

“The Commercial Spaceflight Federation applauds the Senate Commerce Committee and its staff for leading the effort to pass this bipartisan bill by unanimous consent,” said Audrey Powers, CSF chairwoman, Board of Directors. “It sends a strong message that partnerships with America’s commercial space sector provide NASA with the world’s most innovative and affordable technologies and solutions to achieve its ambitious missions across the solar system.”
