Computer Sciences
Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a contract to
provide aviation services support to the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA). The Johnson Space Center’s Aircraft Maintenance and
Modification Program (AMMP) contract has a five-year base period, which
includes three work expansion options during the five-year term. CSC
estimates the value of the contract to be approximately $228 million if all
options are exercised.

Under the award, CSC’s DynCorp Technical Services (DTS) organization will
continue to provide comprehensive maintenance and modification services in
support of NASA aircraft assigned to the Johnson Space Center in Houston,
Texas; the Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.;
and the Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va. Collectively, the aircraft
assigned to these centers represent more than 80 percent of NASA’s aircraft
fleet.

CSC’s DTS will also provide flight operation, technical data collection
and Space Shuttle simulation support services under the contract’s work
expansion options, and may provide AMMP services to other NASA centers as
required by the agency. DTS has provided services under the AMMP contract
since 1994.

“Over the past 10 years, we have demonstrated that we have the experience,
commitment and personnel to produce the results NASA demands,” said CSC’s DTS
President Ben Medley. “With this new contract we are committed to delivering
the same high level of service through 2009.”

Among the aircraft DTS will maintain are the two 747s specially modified
to transport the Space Shuttle, several Gulfstream jets modified to simulate
the flight characteristics of the Space Shuttle, NASA’s fleet of T-38 trainers
and many other unique aircraft used by NASA.

CSC’s DynCorp Technical Services has more than 50 years of experience
providing proven aviation and enterprise service solutions. With headquarters
in Fort Worth, Texas, DynCorp Technical Services’ more than 14,000 employees
provide aviation services, base operations and range technical services
