Congressman Tom DeLay (R-Texas), joined by local Houston community leaders, will discuss NASA’s budget with media at 2 p.m. CST today, Monday, Nov. 22, at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
DeLay, whose Congressional district will now include NASA’s Johnson Space Center, played a key role in passing the budget resolution. The budget figure of $16 billion fully funds NASA for the Vision for Space Exploration, returning the Space Shuttle to flight and completing assembly of the International Space Station.
The media availability will be held in JSC’s Teague Auditorium. Joining DeLay will be JSC Director Jefferson D. Howell, Jr.; Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership President Jim Reinhartsen; and local industry representatives.
Media wishing to attend this opportunity should contact the JSC Newsroom at 281/483-5111 to arrange credentials.
